10 for 10: How Simply Food Trucks Brought Food, Fun & Corporate Giving Nationwide

For 10 years, Simply Food Trucks has been bringing people together over great food. But we believe the best events do more than feed a crowd. They create connections, support communities, and make a meaningful impact. Through Simply Giving, we've helped bring corporate giving into events and community initiatives nationwide, proving that great experiences and giving back can go hand in hand.
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we’re highlighting 10 organizations and initiatives we’ve supported this year through Simply Giving, our community outreach initiative. From fundraising and food rescue to volunteering and sustainability, these experiences show how events can do more than feed a crowd. They can make a difference.

1. Global Growers
We joined A Meaningful Feast, supporting Global Growers and its mission to connect diverse communities through farming and food. It was a wonderful reminder of how food can bring people together while supporting a more sustainable local food system.

2. Giving Kitchen
We were proud to support Giving Kitchen, which provides financial support to food service workers facing unexpected hardship. We attended The Final Burger Benefit and teamed up with King of Pops to create The Giving Pop, a summer fundraising campaign to raise funds for Giving Kitchen and support food service workers in need. Giving back to an organization that supports the industry we’re part of made this especially meaningful.
3. Solidarity Sandy Springs
Through Solidarity Sandy Springs, we helped support local families through backpack collections, healthy summer snack donations, and an afternoon of activities and connection. It was a great example of how corporate giving can be hands-on and community-focused.

4. Strings for Hope
As part of a Southern Supper event, we supported Strings for Hope, an organization that creates meaningful employment opportunities for women through jewelry making. It showed how an event can incorporate corporate giving directly into the experience.
5. Boys & Girls Club of Adairsville
We helped assemble birthday celebration kits for children at the Boys & Girls Club of Adairsville, complete with cake mix, frosting, sprinkles, and candles. Sometimes a little cake and a few simple ingredients can create a very big celebration.
6. Congregation Or Hadash, Second Helpings Atlanta & Community Assistance Center
At the Sukkot Long Table Dinner, community and sustainability went hand in hand. Leftover food was donated to Second Helpings Atlanta, while vegetable centerpieces went to the Community Assistance Center.
The event also launched the congregation’s composting program, using compostable plates, cups, and napkins and reusable stainless-steel cutlery. It was a great example of thoughtful event planning that gives back while reducing waste.

We supported The Next Course Scholarship Awards & 30th Anniversary Celebration, which raises scholarship funds for women pursuing careers in food, beverage, and hospitality. Supporting the next generation of hospitality professionals is especially meaningful to a company that works with food businesses every day.
Through One Good Deed, we helped deliver holiday gifts to older adults in the
community. It was a simple gesture with a personal impact and a reminder that giving back doesn’t require a huge event or budget.
9. American Heart Association
We participated in the American Heart Association Heart Walk alongside members of SITE, MPI, and PCMA, walking in memory of Paige’s mother, Suzanne Dagurt. Supporting an important cause while honoring someone special made this experience particularly meaningful.

10. Chamblee Cop-N-Stuff
We joined MPI Georgia in supporting Chamblee Cop-N-Stuff’s Socktober Sock Drive, collecting new socks for children in foster care. It’s a simple idea with a meaningful impact, reminding us that corporate giving doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes, something as simple as a pair of socks can make a difference in a child’s life.
Giving Back Is Part of Who We Are
These 10 organizations represent just some of the ways Simply Food Trucks has given back over the past year. Whether we’re supporting a fundraiser, volunteering, reducing food waste, or helping clients incorporate corporate giving into their events, we believe every gathering is an opportunity to make a positive impact.
We’re grateful to the organizations, clients, partners, and volunteers who have allowed us to be part of their work. As we look toward the next 10 years, we’re excited to keep bringing people together with food, fun, and a little more giving.
Because after 10 years, we’ve learned that a great event can feed more than just a crowd. It can feed a community.
Make Corporate Giving at Events Part of Your Next Plan

Our challenge to you: Find one way to give back at your next event. Choose a cause that matters to your team, invite your employees to get involved, and make giving part of the experience.
