Spread Holiday Cheer: How Holiday Giving Can Bring Hurricane Relief and More

At Simply Food Trucks, we believe in more than just serving great food – we’re here to create positive change in our communities. Through Simply Giving, our philanthropic arm, we embody our mission of “food with purpose” - making an impact by supporting food-related organizations that help people in need, especially after recent hurricanes in Florida and Western Carolina. Here’s how you can join us in supporting these relief efforts and bring holiday cheer to those who need it most.

World Central Kitchen – Bringing Hot Meals to Hard-Hit Areas

When disaster strikes, World Central Kitchen is one of the first on the scene, mobilizing chefs, volunteers, and local food trucks to serve fresh, nourishing meals to communities in need. By partnering with World Central Kitchen, we’re proud to support an organization that shows up with both heart and incredible food. They often fly to isolated communities on helicopters, which makes them pretty badass, too. Your donations help keep those mobile kitchens running, so consider supporting them this season.

The Giving Kitchen – Helping Food Service Workers Rebuild

The Giving Kitchen steps in to assist those in the food service industry facing hardships, including those who’ve been financially impacted by recent hurricanes. They offer financial aid to cover lost wages, evacuation expenses, and property repairs. The Giving Kitchen also connects applicants to local

resources through their Stability Network, which has already helped thousands in impacted areas secure essential services. This holiday season, a donation to The Giving Kitchen goes directly to helping those who keep our community fed.

Operation BBQ Relief – Serving Comfort, One Plate of BBQ at a Time

Nothing says comfort like BBQ, and Operation BBQ Relief knows how to bring that comfort to people in need nationwide. Right after the recent hurricane in the Tampa Bay Area, their team set up mobile kitchens to ensure everyone had access to hot food, providing a much-needed moment of normalcy and

hope. Every plate served is like a warm hug, and donations keep them going strong. If you’re a BBQ lover, this is a great way to support disaster relief with a flavor-packed twist!

Local Food Banks - Keeping Families Fed in Tough Times

For families impacted by hurricanes, local food banks like Feeding Tampa Bay and Manna Food Bank are lifelines. By donating to local food banks, you can help make sure families have food on the table as they get back on their feet. Support them with food donations or funds to help them reach as many people as

possible.

Habitat for Humanity – Rebuilding Homes and Hope

Habitat for Humanity is working hard in the Tampa Bay Area and Western Carolina, providing safe, stable housing to families affected by the storms. They fund both housing repairs and new builds, helping families start fresh. A donation to Habitat for Humanity is a direct way to help families get back

into homes and move forward.

Tricia’s Kids – Bringing Holiday Cheer to Children in Need

For kids affected by the hurricanes, Tricia’s Kids is working to make this holiday season a little brighter, collecting toys, gift cards, and donations for children in Western North Carolina. Have toys to donate? If you’re in Atlanta, email Paige Nathan at paige@simplyfoodtrucks.com before December 4th, and we’ll

make sure your donations bring smiles to these kids’ faces!

Shop Local – Supporting Community Comeback

Shopping local isn’t just about finding one-of-a-kind goodies; after a hurricane, it’s a way to pitch in and help rebuild. By purchasing from small businesses in areas hit by hurricanes, you’re supporting families and owners who are working hard to bounce back. So, go ahead—buy that box of chocolates or shop for a unique artistic gift online. Every purchase helps with hurrican relief efforts and restores the heartbeat of the community and makes a difference in the comeback story.

This season, let’s share the holiday spirit with those who could really use a lift. Every bit of generosity makes a difference. Visit Simply Food Trucks to learn more about our Simply Giving initiatives and how you can help make an impact.
